No expense is spared on Outside Royalty’s debut album, a rich theatrical experience that is sonically reminiscent of early Pulp or Roxy Music. The gloomy, synth sound is described elsewhere as a return to glam rock but to yours truly it is more of an experience of sheer, unadulterated, uncensored, joyous, indie pomp.
