Delayed for about 37 years, Brian Wilson’s long-forgotten opus, Smile, even manages to put Chinese Democracy to shame. When it was eventually revived, along with Wilson’s sanity, Smile showed the world exactly what it had missed with trademark Beach Boys harmonies juxtaposed with some tripped out arrangements and mysterious instrumentation (including Paul McCartney on carrot).
